World's Leading Fastener Manufacturer『GEM-YEAR Group』Adopts EXCELL Counting Scales to Enhance Productivity
The world's largest screw factory “GEM-YEAR GROUP”, in response to its high inventory and fast shipping strategies, has fully adopted EXCELL as the designated brand for industrial-grade high-precision electronic counting scales, effectively reducing shipping errors while improving work efficiency. GEM-YEAR GROUP’s full adoption of EXCELL products highlights the group’s emphasis on quality management.

"In addition to the high degree of accuracy, EXCELL has added the temperature compensation feature to the load cell during product design in order for the load cell to adapt to temperature changes. Temperature compensation allows the load cell to automatically compensate for zero point and output sensitivity variations caused by temperature changes, establishing EXCELL product differentiation in the market," said Jeff Chien, Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing at EXCELL.
GEM-YEAR GROUP, which started in Gangshan, Kaohsiung, is the world's largest screw manufacturer. In 1987, in order to avoid China Steel Co.'s raw material quota system, the group had advanced to Southeast Asia, and then further advanced to China and established the largest capacity plant there. The group’s three companies, CHIN WELL, GEM-YEAR and JINN HER, focus on high inventory and fast delivery strategies to help customers save storage costs. The group produces 40,000 types of screws, fulfilling different screw requirements for industries in construction, furniture, public works, telecommunications, plus power transmission and distribution. In 2005, Hurricane Katrina had caused severe damage to New Orleans in the United States. In response to such catastrophic disaster, it was GEM-YEAR that had supplied as many as 1,200 tons of power utility screws in one month, helping the electricity company to quickly restore the utility poles.
